Beauty in the Details

Gravel

The weather on Thanksgiving was certainly something to be thankful for – 60° and brilliantly sunny is a always a good start to a November day. We wanted to take some time to appreciate the small things this year, so in an effort to stop and smell the roses we would like to share with you all of the beauty we discovered in the details, as we embraced what may be the last balmy day of 2012 in Upstate New York. We hope you found some unexpected beauty this holiday as well. Happy Thanksgiving from our family to all of yours!

Brookside Cemetery & Tallcott Falls

Mausoleum

This is the most fantastic mausoleum I have ever seen. The windows alternate between stained-glass and clear glass which you can look through to view 3 marble statues that sit atop 3 marble sarcophagi. It is quite a spectacle.

I took Monday off this past week and had the pleasure of spending the day with my friend Sam. We went on a photo adventure around the Watertown area and stopped in some places I have been dying to share…

The Birds

There must have been over 1,000 geese by the pond at Brookside Cemetery.
