A Change of Scenery

Thompson Park

While the weather in Upstate New York this Autumn hasn’t been remarkable, we did manage to get out this past week on some of the more glamourous days to catch sight of the foliage before it all blew off the trees. Here are some of our favorite shots:

Photo Of The Day: The Morning Commute

The Morning Commute

I love how you can see the on coming traffic in this shot. This is a pretty great start to any workday.

I left a little early for work yesterday and was greeted with the most glorious sunrise. I even had time to pull over and take some shots of the sky. These photos make me think of that MGMT song, Time To Pretend (<- that song has awesome lyrics and some sweet, sweet synth):

“This is our decision to live fast and die young.
We’ve got the vision, now let’s have some fun.
Yeah it’s overwhelming, but what else can we do?
Get jobs in offices and wake up for the morning commute?”.

While MGMT is calling this out as their last resort in a long line of much more glamorous (and kind of seedy) ways to spend your time, some days can actually be pretty fantastic.

Pulled over on the side of the road near in Dexter, New York on the way to work last Tuesday, I took this shot of the sunrise over an empty field. Armageddon clouds!
